The SSAT is one of the most selective standardized assessments required for independent secondary school entrance. Most competitive schools expect national percentile scores in the 85 to 99 percent range. A strong SSAT performance when students apply for matriculation significantly enhances their chances of admission and merit-based scholarship consideration. Many competitive schools also accept the ISEE exam scores interchangeably. The SSAT evaluates both verbal agility and quantitative skills under strict timing parameters. After an initial consultation with the student and the family, our advisors suggest whether the SSAT, ISEE, or a dual-prep approach should be integrated into the secondary school admissions study plan.

The Atclyff team designs a custom-tailored SSAT program in a review class or private tutoring to address each candidate's specific needs. The content, depth, and scope of our course may depend on the academic background of the student and preparation completed to date. During the Quantitative preparation, core question types are introduced across both Quantitative Reasoning and Mathematics Achievement modules, spanning arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and data analysis, while the most efficient strategies are established to optimize pacing. Atclyff teachers follow official Enrollment Management Association publications and train students at all levels of synonym classification, verbal analogies, and advanced reading comprehension. After fundamental reading module techniques are reinforced, our instructors suggest effective strategies in critical reasoning, general test-taking methodologies, and overall time management to maximize score gains. Atclyff instructors have observed that no single method of test-taking is universally applicable to every student. Therefore, candidates are individually prepared for what may best work during their upcoming testing sittings. A simultaneous prep track is available for the ISEE due to the significant structural overlap between the two examinations.
